Md Anwar Hussain (Mr)
Mr. Md. Anwar Hussain is a qualified Barrister who has also had many
years of experience as a Law Lecturer in the United Kingdom.
He holds two undergraduate degrees, one in Law from London
Metropolitan University and another in International Relations from the University of Dhaka. He also has a Master’s degree in International
Relations from the University of Dhaka. He obtained a DHE in Law
qualification from Wolverhampton University, U.K and a PGD in
Professional Legal Skills from the Inns of Court School of Law (now known as City Law School, City, University of London). Additionally he has been called to the Bar by the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn, England.
He was the Vice-Chairman of the Liberal Democrat Party in Newham, London, U.K. Further he was nominated as the Liberal Democrat Candidate for Mayor in the London Borough of Newham elections in 2002.
He was also a member of the Trustee Board of the Citizens Advice Bureau in two London Borough Councils, The London Borough of Newham and The London Borough of Tower Hamlets. There are 394 Citizens Advice Bureaux across England and Wales and all are registered charities. During 2010/11 they helped 2.1 million people to solve 7.1 million legal problems.
He was a member of Amnesty International, UK and Greenpeace, UK.
Barrister Hussain is currently the Chief Executive of Whitechapel College, London and a partner of RIGHTS Chambers. The RIGHTS Chambers is an appointed legal advisor to many banks, Government institutions and private entrepreneurs.
